Concrete 3D Printing: Process Parameters for Process Control, Monitoring and Diagnosis in Automation and Construction

In Singapore, there is an increasing need for independence from manpower within the Building and Construction (B&C) Industry. Prefabricated Prefinished Volumetric (PPVC) production mainly driven by benefits in environmental pollution reduction, improved productivity, quality control, customizability. However, overall cost savings have been counterbalanced new drivers like modular precast moulds, transportation, hoisting, manufacturing & holding yards, supervision costs. The highly requirements PPVC places additive advantageous position, due to its high customizability, low volume capabilities a faster response time, changeovers, lower inventory requirements. C3DP has only just begun move away early-stage development, where closely evaluate process parameters across buildability, extrudability, pumpability aspects. As many identified as having considerable influence on processes, monitoring systems feedback applications seem be inevitable step forward automation construction. This paper presented broad analysis of challenges posed systems, stressing admission correct multiple modes failure.
